Day To Day Descriptions
Distance/Time: 10 km / ~20 minutes (Entebbe International Airport → Hotel)
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your Alpha Adventure Safaris representative. After a short transfer, check into your hotel, where you can relax and recover from your flight. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy optional leisure activities, such as a lakeside walk along Lake Victoria.

After breakfast, drive to Entanda Cultural Village in Mityana. Here, immerse yourself in authentic Ugandan culture: join men on a traditional hunting activity, assist women in preparing local dishes, harvest fresh fruits, and participate in spirited cultural dances. Enjoy a farm-to-table local lunch.
In the afternoon, continue your scenic journey through the rolling hills of Mubende and Fort Portal before arriving at Kibale National Park. Settle into your lodge, surrounded by the lush greenery of the forest.

After breakfast, head to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing before embarking on your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Kibale is home to 13 primate species, making it the primate capital of the world. As you hike, listen to the rustle of the forest canopy and calls of red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and abundant birdlife. Once you encounter the chimpanzees, spend an unforgettable hour observing their behaviors.
Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later, visit a nearby local community where you’ll learn about traditional lifestyles, crafts, and conservation efforts by people living near Kibale.

After breakfast, set out for the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run eco-project. Walk through papyrus swamps and boardwalks, spotting colorful birds like the Great Blue Turaco and primates such as red-tailed and black-and-white colobus monkeys.
After lunch, enjoy a leisurely visit to the Ndali-Kasenda crater lakes region. These ancient volcanic lakes are surrounded by rich history, myths, and breathtaking views. Photograph the emerald waters, interact with locals, and learn about the cultural significance of the lakes.

Enjoy an early breakfast before bidding farewell to Kibale National Park. Stop in Fort Portal, a charming town at the base of the Rwenzori Mountains. Visit the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves, renowned for their striking stalactites and stalagmites, as well as a fascinating legend about a Tooro princess.
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue your drive back to Entebbe for your evening departure flight or overnight stay.
