From Kampala, we head up-country to reach Kibale National Park in the early evening. Depending on the time of our departure, we will be able to explore some of the crater lakes in the region and the tea plantations around Fort Portal prior to arriving at our lodge and dinner.
The second day will be spent inside the dense rain forest. After a healthy breakfast at our lodge – just inside the rain forest – we will proceed to the starting point for chimp trekking. Kibale is among the largest habitats for chimps in all of Africa. In the afternoon and after a local lunch, we will go on the Bigodi swamp walk, which is community-designed and community-guided. It leads through a number of village settlements and around the swamp, we can expect to see large amounts of different primate species! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at our lodge.
On the last day of safari and after a refreshing breakfast at the forest, we begin our journey back to Kampala via Mityana after visiting the fruit market in Fort Portal. Then we return in order to bring you to the airport or your desired destination. Breakfast at our lodge before departure.
