Albert Peter Ssemakula, Co-Founder & CEO, Alpha Adventure Safaris

My name is Ssemakula Albert Peter, Founder and CEO of Alpha Adventure Safaris, Electromechanical Engineer by training, adventurer at heart, and lifelong advocate for community-powered tourism.

My journey into the world of travel began not with a business plan, but with a van. In 2007, during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Uganda, I was hired to transport a delegate. That single opportunity opened my eyes to something far greater than the road ahead. I saw a gap, a missed connection between travelers and the rich, untapped world of local communities.

I realized that what was missing in East Africa’s tourism story wasn’t beauty or wildlife; we had that in abundance. What was missing was authenticity. Human connection. A sense of purpose woven into the thrill of adventure.

That realization shaped everything that came next. I spent years immersing myself in the tourism industry, researching, exploring, listening, and learning. In 2014, We officially founded Alpha Adventure Safaris: a company rooted in East Africa, led by local insight, and built on the belief that travel can do more for the traveler and for the communities they visit.

Over the past 17 years, I’ve journeyed across every corner of this region, from the misty trails of Bwindi to the wide-open wonders of the Serengeti. And I can tell you with certainty: there’s nothing quite like East Africa. Our landscapes are breathtaking, yes—but it’s the people, the stories, and the shared moments that leave the deepest mark.

At Alpha, we curate experiences that are immersive, ethical, and unforgettable. Every itinerary is designed with care. Every journey is personal. And every guest is invited not just to see Africa, but to feel it, contribute to it, and carry it forward.

Join us and discover a safari that connects. A journey that matters.

Grace Nabukalu

Travel Expert & Sustainability Officer, Alpha Adventure Safaris

Hello! I’m Grace Nabukalu, Travel Expert, Sustainability Officer, and passionate advocate for responsible tourism at Alpha Adventure Safaris.

At just 23, I’ve already made it my mission to show that travel can be both adventurous and impactful. My work focuses on weaving sustainability into every journey we create, ensuring that our safaris don’t just explore wild places but protect them, support local communities, and celebrate cultural heritage.

What I Bring to the Journey:

  • Eco-Conscious Itinerary Planning – I help craft experiences that reduce environmental impact while elevating community benefit.
  • Sustainable Partnerships – I work closely with local leaders, conservationists, and ethical suppliers to keep our practices grounded and responsible.
  • Client Support & Trip Coordination – I ensure that each traveler enjoys a smooth, personalized, and meaningful adventure, aligned with their values and ours.
  • Team Collaboration & Strategy – I contribute to our vision for a greener, more community-led model of tourism across East Africa.

From gorilla trekking in Uganda to conservation-centered safaris in Tanzania and immersive cultural encounters in Rwanda, I see travel as a force for good, a way to educate, inspire, and connect.

My Vision

To help lead the next generation of African tourism, where sustainability is not an afterthought, but a foundation. Where young women, like myself, shape the future of ethical adventure. And where every guest leaves not only with beautiful memories, but with a sense of purpose.

If you care about wildlife, the planet, and travel that truly matters, we already have something in common.

Let’s connect. Let’s inspire change. Let’s make travel a story worth sharing.

Magala Martin Hero

Head of Administration & Finance, Alpha Adventure Safaris

Hello! I’m Magala Martin Heroc, proud husband, father, and Head of Administration & Finance at Alpha Adventure Safaris.

Born into a close-knit family of 17 siblings, I learned early on the value of teamwork, resilience, and faith. These are the values I carry into my role every day ensuring that behind every unforgettable safari, there’s a strong, steady foundation keeping everything running smoothly.

Since Alpha’s early days, I’ve been part of the journey, helping to build a company that not only connects travelers with East Africa’s beauty but also operates with honesty, precision, and care. I oversee everything from budgeting and financial planning to administrative logistics, so our team and our guests can focus on what matters most: delivering meaningful, seamless travel experiences.

Outside the office, I find joy in prayer, sports, and listening to worship music, moments that keep me grounded, centered, and inspired. But above all, I treasure time with my wife and three wonderful children, who remind me daily of the importance of love, patience, and purpose.

At Alpha, we believe in doing business with heart. For me, that means leading with integrity, supporting our team, and ensuring every traveler feels the impact of our commitment behind the scenes.

Because when the foundation is strong, the journey is even more meaningful.

Nakiboneka Evelyn Nilly

Hospitality & Family Hosts

Hello! I’m Evelyn Nilly Nakiboneka, and I’ve proudly served as the Head of Operations & Training at Alpha Adventure Safaris since the very beginning.

For me, travel is more than a profession; it’s a lifelong passion. I’m inspired by the power of exploration, the richness of East African landscapes, and the potential of travel to connect people across cultures. It’s this belief that drives everything I do, from coordinating the fine details behind the scenes to empowering our team through continuous training and development.

My role is all about flow and finesse, ensuring every guest experience is seamless, safe, and deeply enriching. I work closely with our guides, logistics teams, and travel planners to guarantee that each itinerary reflects our high standards of quality, hospitality, and authenticity.

I’m especially passionate about training. I believe great safaris begin with great people, and I’m committed to nurturing a team that’s knowledgeable, thoughtful, and proud of the work we do. Every workshop, every site visit, and every planning session is an opportunity to grow stronger together.

From gorilla trekking to cultural immersions, I love shaping journeys that leave lasting impressions, not just for our guests, but for the communities we work with and the ecosystems we help protect.

With Alpha, every safari is a chance to inspire, empower, and connect, and I’m honored to help lead that mission every day.
